SITSS00069 – Food Safety Supervision Skill Set combines two nationally recognised food safety units: SITXFSA005 Use Hygienic Practices for Food Safety and SITXFSA006 Participate in Safe Food Handling Practices. This course is ideal for those working in food service, hospitality, transport, or distribution roles who need to supervise food safety in the workplace.
You’ll learn how to identify and control food hazards across every stage of food handling, from receiving and storing food to preparation, serving, and disposal. You’ll also gain an understanding of the responsibilities involved in supervising others to ensure compliance with food safety standards.
Practical performance is assessed through third-party observation in a real or volunteer food-handling setting. Supervisors or managers must confirm your performance using the approved observation form and a short video declaration.
